Deepa Shastri has extensive experience of working in the cultural sector on various levels for the last 10 years. Past credentials include Associate Producer for Unlimited, as part of London 2012 festival programme and Liverpool’s DaDa Festival. She has great understanding and knowledge on audience development for deaf audience whether it is for shows with captioning or BSL.
She has acted on screen for Channel 4 deaf drama series called Rush, BBC See Hear’s Switch and on stage, Fingersmiths Ltd production called Frozen as Agnetha using bilingual approach theatre.
These days, she works at STAGETEXT as Talks Programme Manager, managing all the live subtitling access for talks, public events and tours in museums and galleries around UK and is a board member for Greenwich and Docklands International Festival.
Her love for arts and culture so you may catch her either watching shows, museum or signing songs or even travelling!
