Charlotte Arrowsmith studied at Reading university achieving a BA Hons in theatre, arts, education & deaf studies. Her first acting job was in her third year of university, working on the program series 'vee TV - Rush' on channel 4.
She then went on to work with Facefront inclusive theatre, Theatre Venture, Immediate theatre, Half moon, Graeae & Deafinitely theatre. Charlotte is also a drama workshop leader with Deafinitely theatre Youth & also does freelance work with Handprint Theatre.
She has had roles in short films for BSLBT, which allows deaf directors to create their films on a small budget. Charlotte also creates sign songs using BSL & dance/theatre which have resulted in working with Benjamin Zephniah, Spring Offensive & the Unbending Trees on their music videos.
Charlotte performed at the Globe in 2012 for the globe to globe festival, & performed the role of Rosaline in the first BSL staging of 'Love Labour's Lost'. She is also back on the Globe stage this summer as Helena in 'Midsummer night's Dream'.
