Youth Member Emily has a different plan to keep cool this summer. On the 9th July Emily will be swimming a mile in the Thames to raise money for Deafinitely Theatre. Deafinitely Theatre is a non-profit making charity. Our work is aimed at some of the hardest to reach people in society and can only take place thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

"I decided to do the swim because I have been lucky enough to be a part of Deafinitely Youth Theatre since November last year. The work they do is just incredible and I have made so many new friends and had so many amazing opportunities!

The use of BSL and English is what makes Deafinitely Theatre so special and accessible. Being hearing, I have been able to get an insight into how powerful deaf acting is, as well as meeting lots of lovely new people. The work that Deafinitely do is outstanding, creating accessible productions for deaf and hearing actors to star in, and audiences to watch, which is crucial to both the deaf community and theatre on the whole!

Any donations would be amazing as I would love to raise as much as possible for this amazing group!”

We would like to sincerely thank Emily for taking on this incredible challenge and for her support in raising money for Deafinitely Theatre.

GOOD LUCK EMILY!!
