Writers Hub

The Writers Hub provides an opportunity for new and emerging Deaf artists to explore the many possibilities of bringing stories alive onstage. Through a series of workshops and ongoing support from the company, the artists get the chance to work with various industry professionals as they start to form their own individual approach for storytelling.

Below are six first drafts from six of our pervious HUB writers. The aim of the programme was to equip each writer with enough tools to be able to write a short play or monologue, and I hope you are able to take time out to read some of these sample scripts and get a sense of these six new voices.

4 Women by Naimo Duale.

Every Decibel Dumber by Zoe McWhinney.

How's Your Garden by Melissa Mostyn.

Randomly Orbiting Balls by Donna William.

Tell Me What Do You See by Lianne Herbert.

Obey by Julian Peedle-Calloo.

Please note: Scripts are the copyright of the individual writers and cannot be copied, produced or used without prior permission.
